Aguas Calientes (Hot Springs Town)

Located at the foot of Machu Picchu in Peru, this small town has flourished due to the fame of the ancient ruins on the mountain, attracting numerous tourists. The town is home to natural hot springs, which is why Aguas Calientes is also known as Hot Springs Town. There are two ways to reach Aguas Calientes: 1. Take a bus from Cusco. 2. Board a tourist train from Ollantaytambo. Aguas Calientes offers a variety of accommodations, including hotels, guesthouses, restaurants, and souvenir shops. If you have enough time, it's recommended to stay for one or two nights to fully explore all the attractions of Machu Picchu. Hiking enthusiasts can trek up the mountain, or you can take a bus directly to the entrance of the site. After descending, enjoy a relaxing soak in the hot springs.
