#summervacay Hiking around Laroya in Almeria was such a peaceful escape. This place is teeny tiny, like blink and you miss it small, but wow the scenery around it is stunning. Nestled in the Sierra de los Filabres, it’s all about rugged hills, olive trees, and trails that wind up into the quiet mountains. I took one of the local paths that loop around the hills and it felt like I had the whole world to myself. It’s not super marked so be ready to follow your instinct a bit, but that just made it more fun. There were goats chilling on the slopes, birds everywhere, and that warm dry air that smells like herbs and dust. Totally grounding. After the hike I wandered back into the village and grabbed a cold drink from a little bar. Locals were super welcoming. No tourist crowds, no rush, just slow peaceful vibes. Laroya is the kind of place you go when you wanna clear your head and walk under wide open skies.
