#summervacay If you're looking for a fantastic day trip from Tokyo, I highly recommend a visit to Hatsushima Island! To get there, you first head to Atami from Tokyo. From Atami, you can catch a ferry to either Izu Oshima or Hatsushima. The ride to Hatsushima is super quick, taking only about 25 minutes. You can even buy your tickets online in advance, which usually includes both the ferry fare and access to the island's hot spring. Pick a day with good weather, because the scenery is absolutely stunning! Hatsushima itself isn't very large. There are nice resting spots and individual bungalows, along with outdoor climbing facilities, which require separate tickets if you want to use them. Also, keep in mind that some restaurants on the island are cash-only, so it's a good idea to bring some cash with you. For a day trip, you'll have plenty of time to head back to Atami for dinner. I highly recommend trying Atami's braised sea bream – it's delicious!
