Catching the Kiwi in Chilly Auckland

📅 Itinerary Day1：Flew from Singapore to Auckland via Malaysian Airline. Reached. After exiting the immigration, looked for bus/coach ride signage as guide. Took Skyride, Airport shuttle to CBD for only NZD20. Paid directly to driver and boarded the coach. Stayed at YMCA CBD thus it’s a 5mins walk from the SkyTower drop off point. Day2: Enjoyed a simple breakfast buffet at YMCA for NZD10 and head to Sky Tower and did some shopping at the CBD area. In the afternoon, head for Harbour area to check on the area and restaurants. Day3: Booked a guided tour to Hobbiton & Waitomo Caves. Tour started early at 6.30am with pick up at your hotel near CBD. The tour includes simple lunch with drinks. Ended at about 5:30pm and took a warm shower and rest before heading for dinner 🏨 Accommodation YMCA at 20 Pitt Road. 🍴 Food Recommendations Timeless Taste of China 中国故事. Do encourage you guys to try these Chinese Cafe. Check on their IG and website for menu. I chose the Chef recommendation brised beef tendons (Hugh portion) for only nzd38 and the mayonnaise prawn wrapped in golden wires w and 山楂片糯米饭 and an egg tart. Location at 113 Mayoral Drive CBD Auckland. The meal cost about $60. By the way, average meal in any cafe or restaurant will cost you about $15-20 in Auckland. 📌 Tips Save money by taking Airport shuttle if u are staying within CBD area and choose a single private room with shared bathroom if u don’t mind and channel the money to food and paying for tourist attractions.
