It was built at the same time as the establishment of Bangkok as the capital during the reign of King Rama I in 1782 and completed in 1784. It is located in the Grand Palace area, modeled after Wat Phra Si Sanphet in the Ayutthaya period. 🔰 Wat Phra Kaew is located in the outer royal palace area on the east side.
