#tripdiscount 🏠Wat Phothinimit Sathitmahasimaram, a third-class royal temple, common type 🏕In the past, the location of the temple was the land of Mr. Pho and Mrs. Mi, who were the parents of Somdej Phra Wanarat (Daeng Silwattano) of Wat Suthat Thepwararam Ratchaworamahawihan. 🏰When his parents passed away, Somdej Phra Wanarat donated the land to build a temple to dedicate merit to his parents as a Buddhist offering, a Dharma offering, and a Sangha offering. 🏰The temple received the royal charter of the boundary during the reign of King Rama V in 2417 B.E. and was named Wat Phothinimit. The locals popularly called it Wat Phothi Talat Phlu. 🙏The Maha Sima binding ceremony was held on October 30, 2433 B.E., making it the only and first temple in the Thai Sangha (Mahanikaya) that had a designated area for performing Sangha duties as Maha Sima.
