Bangkok Wat Phra Kaew & Wat Pho Tour Tips! A complete guide to things to keep in mind when visiting temples

Day 1 of my Bangkok free tour, I visited Wat Phra Kaew (Emerald Temple) and Wat Pho (Reclining Buddha Temple)! Both temples have gorgeous royal architecture and Thai Buddhist art, so they are a must-see when traveling to Bangkok✨ ⸻ 📍 Wat Phra Kaew - The most sacred temple in Thailand, where the Emerald Buddha is enshrined. - No sleeveless shirts, shorts, or tight-fitting clothes when entering! You can rent/buy long pants and skirts on site for around 200 baht. - There are no vending machines or drinks inside the temple, so make sure to bring water! - The cafe in front of the temple after the tour is not recommended because the food is not that good😅 ⸻ 📍 Wat Pho - This temple is famous for the largest reclining Buddha (reclining Buddha) in Thailand. - Just like Wat Phra Kaew, the dress code is strict, so be careful! - There are cafes and shops selling drinks here and there, so it's good to take a break when you're thirsty. - You have to take off your shoes to enter, but I was able to enter wearing Crocs (good tip!) ⸻ 💡 Common good tips ✔️ It's cooler and quieter if you start the temple tour in the morning. ✔️ Both places are large, so it takes at least 1~1.5 hours to tour them. ✔️ Thai temples have a solemn atmosphere, so please be mindful of noise and photography manners! ⸻ Please take note if you're going on a free trip to Bangkok😊 If you have any questions, please leave a comment!
