Parc Güell

#mediterranean A stunning park! Mesmerizing views, lots of nature, from the upper levels of this park you can see almost the entire Barcelona skyline. The park is reasonably accessible for disabilities - at the entrance to the park, I was given a map with included trails that disabled people should follow, which was helpful and actually rare. There were a lot of ramps. The staff was polite, and the atmosphere was multiplied by musicians playing live music and set up in various parts of the park. Despite the good sidewalks, there were some difficulties in the park and due to the shape of it - probably unavoidable, so this is not a complaint, rather a warning. For example, a lot of tiring ‘climbing’ uphill on a rather steep ramp, so wheelchair users should take someone to help. The ground in the park is also not optimistic, in few areas it was sandy and hard to move on, which even I, a person moving with the help of a walker, found it difficult. In the Gaudi museum I did not visit because it took me 2h to get around the park and I was too tired. I consider it a big personal mistake and maybe I will visit this fascinating park again someday. Unfortunately, there is no bars or restaurants inside the park, but you can buy there water from vendors or refill your bottle with water from a point in the park.
