From Studio Paolo Ferrari, the design incorporates Boston's modernist architectural heritage to create a monumental double-height space. Inspired by mid-century modernist aesthetics, the designer created a Gesamtkunstwerk, a complete work of art, with rich materiality, contrasting textures, and subtle interplay of visual complexity. From furniture to lighting, every detail is carefully customized to restore the luxurious texture. Visitors are drawn to the Verde Antico marble entrance and then step into a towering double-height space. Surrounded by warm earthy tones of soft greens, browns, and grays, the space exudes a tranquil and luxurious atmosphere. Prominent vertical elements, such as columns and niches, and low furniture further emphasize the monumentality of the space. In addition, the hotel incorporates a variety of ancient craft traditions and materials, such as calcified stone-carved arches, grooved leather panels with bronze inlays, and plaster-cast lattice canopies. These elements give the space a unique charm. Of particular note is the hotel's magnificent 2.7-meter-high cabinet, which is like a crown jewel, paying homage to the Art Deco and amoeba modernist styles of the 1950s.
