Bran Castle (Draculas Castle)

Bran Castle is actually one of several fortresses built to protect Romanian from invasion. Bran is dripping with history and is not for the faint-hearted when it comes to walking. It's very, very steep to climb and sadly not suitable for anyone with wheelchairs or walking issues. The history here is somewhat darker thanks to Vlad The Impaler. It turns out that Dracula actually didn't have anything to do with Bran Castle. Hos home is situated in a different area, and I also discovered that in Whitby, England, UK is where Draculas body is said to have been. The local town of Bran is dripping in history and architecture. Well worth the day trip to see Bran, Peles and Brasov
