Things to do in Brussels, Belgium: Atomium

The Atomium on the outskirts of Brussels was originally a temporary building built for the 1958 Brussels World Expo. It was designed by engineer André Waterkeyn and architect brothers André and Jean Polak. The nine huge stainless steel spheres formed an iron crystal structure, which was spectacular.
