[Hungary] The pearl of the Danube! Budapest's World Heritage Site "Széchenyi Chain Bridge"

The Danube River flows through Budapest, the capital of Hungary. The Chain Bridge (or Széchenyi Lánchíd, to be precise) is a suspension bridge that spans the Danube River and is a World Heritage Site. Budapest is known as the "Paris of Eastern Europe" and the "Pearl of the Danube" and is registered as a World Heritage Site as the most beautiful bridge in Hungary. When I visited in October 2019, the bridge was undergoing renovation work for the time being, so I went to see it for the last time, but I think that it has actually been postponed... Since it is a bridge from the early 19th century (however, it was destroyed during World War II and rebuilt), it has a historic and heavy appearance. However, there are cafes and bars at the foot of the east side of the bridge, and it was crowded with young people and many people all night long. The royal palace Buda Castle towering on the west side of the bridge and the government building on the east side are also beautifully lit up at night. Photos on June 6th 2019 The Széchenyi Chain Bridge (Széchenyi lánchíd) is a chain bridge that spans the River Danube between Buda and Pest, the western and eastern sides of Budapest, the capital of Hungary. I had just come to Budapest to see it because I heard about the improvement work of the bridge from Oct 2019 when I traveled in Eastern European countries. The riverside was full with young people and couples in the cafe and bar until midnight.
