#summervacay The Golden Triangle in Chiang Rai is one of those spots that sounds super serious in textbooks, but when you’re actually there? Kinda cool, kinda surreal, and lowkey chill. You’re literally standing at the spot where Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar meet, just divided by a river. Like, “Hey look, that’s Laos across the water!” There’s a giant golden Buddha chillin’ on a boat-shaped platform, some quirky statues, and loads of viewpoints for that classic “three-country” photo op. It’s touristy, yeah, but not in an annoying way. More like, “Oh cool, I’m checking something iconic off the list.” You can also hop on a short boat ride if you’re feeling adventurous, some even stop briefly in Laos for a little market stroll (passport not required for that mini trip!). Honestly, it’s worth a visit just for the vibes and the bragging rights. Bring sunnies, a hat, and your best geography jokes. Golden Triangle: weird, historic, and totally worth it.
