Chillin’ on Sikjangsan, City Escape Vibes

#summervacay Sikjangsan is one of those low-key mountains that totally surprises you. It’s not super tall or dramatic, but that’s kinda what makes it awesome. The trail starts out smooth and shady, with trees lining the way like nature’s hallway. Pretty soon, you’re climbing gentle slopes with occasional wooden stairs, l nothing too wild, just a nice steady workout. What’s cool is how close it is to the city, but once you’re on the trail, it feels a world away. Total peaceful zone. I passed a few locals out for a walk, some older hikers crushing it with trekking poles, and even a couple of cute dogs in backpacks. Classic Korea. The summit has a chill viewing deck where you can catch a nice breeze and look out over Daejeon. Perfect spot for a snack break and a few photos. If you’re looking for a quick nature recharge without going off-grid, Sikjangsan’s got your back. Easy access, good vibes, and just enough adventure to feel accomplished.
