Dordrecht is one of the oldest cities in the Netherlands. The streets have a sense of history 👴🏻 There are several reasons why Dutch houses tend to be built forward: 1. It's advantageous because the upper floors are larger while keeping the land area small. 2. It's easier to bring in large furniture through the windows. 3. The country was built on reclaimed swamps, so the land has subsided.
