This year marks the 100th anniversary of the completion of the Oi Dam, and the Ena Gorge Cherry Blossom Festival will be held on a grand scale. Ena Gorge is the first power-generating dam in Japan, a masterpiece of natural and man-made construction, perfectly blending the awe-inspiring cliffs with the man-made scenic beauty. This cherry blossom festival, centered around cherry blossom viewing, will also feature local gourmet delicacies, a variety of handicrafts for sale, and free activities such as trampolines and stretching exercises.
