Shizuoka Motosu Lake, a travel story that meets the scenery on the 1000 yen bill

#July Travel Support Fund Lake Motosu (本栖湖) was famous for being the deepest and clearest lake among the Fuji Five Lakes. When I arrived by car from Shizuoka, the surroundings were so quiet and secluded that it felt like time had stopped. The highlight here was the view of the reverse Fuji (逆さ富士) reflected on the lake. When I visited on a calm morning, Mt. Fuji was perfectly upside down on the water, just like a painting. I couldn't help but be amazed when I saw the scenery depicted on the back of the 1,000 yen bill. The area around the lake was undeveloped, so it retained its natural atmosphere, and I saw people camping or kayaking. The water was so clear and transparent that it was cool and refreshing to just dip my feet in the summer. In particular, the sky and the lake turned orange around sunset, showing a completely different scenery. Lake Motosu, which changes color several times a day, was a great place to take pictures. If you want to feel nature quietly rather than a crowded tourist spot, Lake Motosu was the best healing spot. It is the place where you can see Mt.
