Gangtok, the former kingdom of Sikkim

#AbsolutelyFreeTrip Gangtok is the capital of Sikkim. It was originally a separate country called the Kingdom of Sikkim, but was annexed by India in 1975. To enter Sikkim, you need an entry permit in addition to an Indian visa. I was able to get the permit along the way. For meals, you can eat thukpa, momos, and Tibetan cuisine.
