It is the starting point of the Tsugaru Railway Line and is also parallel to JR Goshogawara Station. It is a transportation hub for exploring the Tsugaru area. The winter-only "Stove Train (Store Train)" departs from here. It is one of the most unique railway experiences in Japan.
