Day out in Greenwhich

1. Address - GREENWHICH MARKET SE10 9HZ Highlights - Loads of cool shops and stalls, plenty of food and a really cool antique book and map shop. Rating - 7.8/10 - food can be a little pricey but there’s plenty of great alternatives around it. 2. Address - NATIONAL MARITIME MUSEUM SE10 9NF Highlights - Big ship, they currently have two really cool exhibitions, the astronomy photographer of the year awards and a pirate exhibition perfect for families. Really interesting museum. Rating - 8.5/10 - free to enter and loads to see 3. Address - QUEENS HOUSE SE10 9NF Highlights - original famous paintings of Tudor Monarchs and more. A really cool house with an impressive art collection, there’s something for everyone and you get to learn a little more about the history of the house and Greenwich. Rating - 8/10 free to enter can take as long or as little as you like plenty to see. 4. Address- ROYAL OBSERVATORY SE10 8XJ Highlights - stand on the Greenwich meridian line , learn more about time and out solar system, visit the planetarium and watch a cool show, plenty of exhibitions and interactive moments. Rating - 9/10 beautiful walk through the park to get there, amazing exhibitions and such an interesting place to immerse yourself in. 💰Average Price per Person: £25 5. Address - OLD ROYAL NAVAL COLLEGE SE10 9NN Highlights - the painted hall, the chapel, the grounds themselves , everything is stunning, the view across the river into Canary Wharf , there’s a museum on aight as well. Plenty to do. Rating - 7.5/10 it’s as good as you make it and it can be really good! 6. Address - CUTTY SARK SE10 9HT Highlights - board a cool ship and learn its role in history, see how it worked and was powered, and if you’re an engineer take a look at some really cool trusses. Rating - 7/10 💰Average Price per Person: £16.50-£22 (Student ID required) I recommend arriving by boat if you’re coming from central london, TFL have joined with Uber and you can use your oyster/contactless to board , it’s a beautiful trip down the Thames giving you plenty to look at on a whistle stop tour of some of the most iconic london landmarks. If you’re looking for something else to do to leave I recommend the cable cars by the O2 although the O2 is a trio in itself. On the other hand if neither tickle your fancy the DLR is a very fun way to travel and takes you right into the heart of Greenwich. #travel #thingstodo #familytravel #museums #myitinerary #pirate #greenwhich #london #dayout
