|| Guangzhou's First Pawnshop Museum. No matter how much the road is widened, a blue-brick carved building is always preserved in the middle of Dadongmen Road in Guangzhou. This building was once the warehouse of the Dongping Dapawn pawnshop, and now it has been converted into Guangzhou's first pawnshop museum. To protect this cultural relic building, Dadongmen Entrance Park was also established in front of the museum to separate it from the road. The Dongping Dapawn building is characterized by gun holes instead of windows, and from the arrangement of these gun holes on the exterior, one can understand that there are seven floors in total, representing the architecture of the old pawnshop industry. The first floor has been restored to its original state with the high counters and the curved pawn area of the old pawnshop, the second floor displays historical and cultural materials of modern pawnbroking and light box graphic exhibitions, and the third floor showcases the paper sculpture art exhibition 'Memory Shaping' by Chen Wenjuan. The upper floors are not open to the public. From the gun holes on the upper floors, one can peek at the surrounding road conditions. In front of the Dongping Dapawn is the Dadongmen Entrance Budaigong Park.
