#summervacay I recently visited Hakone Shrine and the lovely Port Park on the way towards Izu. Hakone Shrine, nestled in a tranquil mountain forest, is beautifully adorned with dragon motifs. There's also a Treasure Museum you can visit with a purchased ticket. The area around the shrine is perfect for a peaceful walk, allowing you to soak in the serene atmosphere. The iconic "Torii Gate of Peace" standing in the water is a hugely popular spot for photos. If you're aiming for that perfect shot, be prepared to queue up, as it can get quite busy. Alternatively, you can take excellent pictures from the steps without waiting! Just a short distance away, the Port Park by the sea is a fantastic spot for a leisurely stroll or to relax. It features a high observation deck, accessible for just ¥100 per person (cash only at a machine). The views are superb, and enjoying the sea breeze there is incredibly pleasant.
