Himeji | Kassuiken: Savoring grilled beef while enjoying the garden view.

Located within Koko-en Garden, Kassuiken is a scenic restaurant that you’ll encounter shortly after entering the garden. Built alongside a pond, its wooden corridor offers stunning views. Inside, the floor-to-ceiling windows provide a panoramic view of the lush greenery surrounding the pond, creating a serene and picturesque dining experience. I was lucky enough to arrive before noon and snagged the last window-side table—what incredible luck! I ordered the domestic beef teppanyaki set for ¥2,680. The marbling of the beef was exquisite, and as the butter melted on the ceramic plate, the aroma filled the air. The beef was tender and melted in my mouth, with the sweetness of the fat and the meat blending into a truly delightful flavor. It was a highly satisfying meal. However, the highlight of the restaurant is undoubtedly the garden view. Dining amidst the lush greenery, stone bridges, and flowing water is an unparalleled pleasure. The cool air-conditioned interior is a refreshing contrast to the sweltering heat outside.
