Forest Amusement Park Series PART1️⃣4️⃣

Do you also yearn for the feeling of "walking into the forest and letting your heart take a deep breath"? This trip to the [Fuyuan National Forest Recreation Area] in Ruisui, Hualien, really gave me the illusion of entering another time and space: fresh air, rich greenery, healing water sounds, and countless fluttering butterflies accompanying you on the mountain trails. It is my favorite forest secret place recently. This is actually one of the early afforestation sites of Taisugar. There are about 30 hectares of tall camphor trees in the park, plus naturally grown broad-leaved forests. The whole forest is as beautiful as a fairy tale under the sunlight. Just walking on the trail and breathing in the scent of camphor wood is enough to forget your worries. And because the environment is pristine and clean, it attracts thousands of butterflies to fly in the forest every spring and summer (approximately March-August), so it is also called the "Butterfly Valley", and this title is really not in vain! The most surprising thing is the combination of the "Longyin Suspension Bridge" and the "Longyin Waterfall". The suspension bridge is a classic cable-stayed bridge, about 150 meters long, spanning the entire valley. When you walk up, you will see the winding and clear Fuyuan River, the gurgling sound of water, and the gentle swaying of the wind. It is both exciting and beautiful. After crossing the suspension bridge, walk a short distance on the mountain trail and you will reach the spectacular "Longyin Waterfall" - this is the largest waterfall in the park. The water rushes down from a height of about 70 meters, which is magnificent. Standing at the bottom, you can feel the coolness of the mist hitting your face. Another highlight here is that you can actually encounter "intermittent hot springs" along the valley! That's right, it is natural hot spring water that just emerges from the cracks of rocks and the river. You can sit by the stream and soak your feet and feel the temperature changes of nature. It is really super stress-relieving. Many people simply sit on the rocks, soaking their feet while listening to the sound of water and forgetting the time completely. Most of the trails in the park are wooden plank roads and dirt roads. They are gentle and easy to walk. You can easily walk the entire route in about 2 hours. There are simple explanation signs along the way to learn about local birds, tree species and butterflies. For families traveling with children or those who want to arrange a slow-paced journey, this place is really perfect. 🍃 Forest Ecology × Donglin Bath It covers an area of about 191 hectares and is located at the junction of Ruisui Township and Wanrong Township in Hualien County. There are about 30 hectares of camphor tree afforestation land in the park, plus the original broad-leaved forest, forming a dense green. There are explanation wooden signs along the way to identify local birds, butterflies and plants; March to August is the butterfly season every year, and gray-throated peppers, five-color birds, Taiwan blue magpies and other winged birds live in it, forming a veritable "Butterfly Valley" . 🌉 Suspension bridge and waterfall trail •Longyin Suspension Bridge: A 156m long suspension bridge that spans Fuyuan Creek. You can walk over the canyon stream and stand beside the clear water and cliffs. •Fuyuan Waterfall (Longyin Waterfall): With a drop of about 70m, it is the largest waterfall in the area. The stream forms a two-layer waterfall and a deep pool. Negative ions diffuse, and rainbows and dreamy lights and shadows are often seen in the sun. 🌡 Hot spring bathing, water activities, and hiking experience There are intermittent hot springs at random points along the way, attracting many tourists to soak their feet and play in the water by the stream. There are also camping and picnic areas next to the valley to experience the wildness of the forest. Many trails around the mountains and streams allow travelers to hike freely and enjoy a leisurely forest bath. 📌Practical information: ✔️ Opening hours: 08:00–17:00 daily (closed to 18:00 in some areas) ✔️ Tickets: NT$150 for all, free for children under 120cm; parking fee is about NT$60 ✔️ Recommended season: Best for butterfly viewing from March to August, hot spring bathing in autumn and winter is also great ✔️ Transportation: Best to drive, or take the train to Fuyuan Station and transfer to a taxi ✔️ Note: The suspension bridge is slightly swaying but stable, suitable for parents and children and the elderly; remember to wear non-slip shoes! If you love forests, like hiking, have a special liking for waterfalls, and want to soak your feet in the wild stream to relax, then [Fuyuan Forest Recreation Area] is really not to be missed The healing here is not something that urban parks can give; the tranquility here can only be felt when you really walk into the mountains🥰 #5月好去处2025
