Yasato Distillery

A whiskey distillery operating in the Yasato area at the foot of the famous Mt. Tsukuba. The building was renovated from an old community center and all locally sourced wood was used for the renovation. The distillery strives to make whiskey that is in line with the local climate. Hinomaru Whisky, distilled at the distillery and released for sale in June 2022, won both the Gold Award and Category Winner in the Japanese New Make Spirits category at the Tokyo Whisky & Spirits Competition.
