A Hidden Gem at Taihu Lake! Guoyun Mountain Residence Lakeside Manor Experience

This time, during my visit to Sanshan Island at Taihu Lake in Suzhou, choosing to stay at the "Guoyun Mountain Residence Lakeside Manor" was undoubtedly the best decision of the trip! The manor is located in Dongbo Village at the northernmost tip of Sanshan Island, far from the hustle and bustle, as if stepping back into the idyllic countryside of ancient times. In the early morning, opening the window reveals the rippling waves of Taihu Lake, with the ethereal peaks of Xishan and Dongshan's Moli Peak in full view, dotted with fishing boats—a scene full of poetic charm. The room design is simple yet elegant, with large floor-to-ceiling windows that bring the unobstructed lake view indoors. At night, you fall asleep to the shimmering waves, dreaming of the gentle embrace of Taihu Lake. The public areas are full of delightful surprises—the romantic and luxurious starlit swimming pool, the "Smoke and Water" café with its swing design that relaxes you to the core, and the traditional Suzhou cuisine at the "Yaji" restaurant, where seasonal fresh fish leaves an unforgettable taste on your palate. On the island, you can rent an electric bike to cycle around or take a leisurely stroll along the island's roads, where surprises await at every turn. On clear nights, the manor even sets off fireworks by the lake. Under the starry sky, the tranquility and beauty of that moment are treasures to cherish for a lifetime.
