#summervacay My quest for the Expo stamp led me to the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum! Fukui might just be the most inconvenient place to reach for an Expo stamp, as it lacks an airport (Komatsu is the closest). Coming from Tokyo, the Shinkansen route is quite a detour, and from Osaka, you need to make transfers – it's a bit of a trek! The Journey & Arrival Even after reaching Fukui Station, the journey isn't over. You'll need to take a local train and then a bus, which adds another hour-plus to your single journey, passing through endless farmlands. However, once you arrive, it's a different story. It was my first time visiting a dinosaur museum, and I found it quite impressive and expansive. There are so many dinosaur fossils to see, which I found absolutely fascinating – it almost felt like stepping into the museum from Animal Crossing! If you're just looking for a quick look, about an hour and a half should be enough. The museum attracts a lot of families with children. Expo Stamp & Local Flair The Expo stamp is conveniently located at the ticket counter, and you don't need to buy an admission ticket just to get the stamp.
