During this trip to Osaka, I planned a special one-day itinerary to Mount Rokko, and it truly exceeded expectations! Taking the cable car from the city center to the mountain, the scenery along the way was picturesque, especially the moment we passed through the mist—it felt like stepping into a fairyland. At the summit, "Rokko Mountain Ranch" offered a charming European countryside vibe, where visitors could interact with adorable sheep and enjoy freshly made farm ice cream. Both adults and children had a blast. In the evening, we chose to wait for the sunset at "Rokko Mountain Observatory." As the setting sun painted the sky red, the night view of Osaka Bay and Kobe City gradually lit up in the distance. The magnificent blend of urban and natural landscapes was utterly mesmerizing. On clear nights, this spot is also a prime location for stargazing, with a starry sky so brilliant it feels within reach! The mountain's restaurant, "Rokko Mountain View Restaurant," is equally worth visiting. Its floor-to-ceiling windows allow diners to enjoy the stunning views while savoring their meals. On the way back, we stopped by "Rokko Alpine Botanical Garden," which is especially breathtaking during the spring and summer flower seasons. Mount Rokko offers a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, combining nature, ranch experiences, stargazing, and gourmet dining all in one. It’s undoubtedly one of the most worthwhile hidden gems to explore around Osaka!
