Experience the History at Yunnan Provincial Museum!

The Yunnan Provincial Museum is located about 15 km south of the center of Kunming City, in the Guandu District. It mainly focuses on the history of Yunnan Province. Originally established in 1958, it was relocated to its current location in 2015. The museum has three floors, with the second floor (ancient times to pre-Tang) and the third floor (Tang to modern times) serving as permanent exhibition rooms. This museum provides an overview of Yunnan Province, showcasing around 60,000 items, including Buddhist art from the Nanzhao and Dali Kingdoms of ancient Yunnan, bronze ware, fine arts and crafts, colorful ethnic minority costumes, and traditional musical instruments.
