Recently, Nintendo Switch 2 was released, and it was so popular that you couldn't even buy it if you pre-ordered it. Many people said that Arabica Cafe coffee was delicious, but the Americano was average for my taste. I found out that this place is famous for Kyoto Latte. 🏬 Kyoto Nintendo 🎮 Japan 〒600-8002 Kyoto, Shimogyo Ward, Otabicho, 2-35 Kyoto Takashimaya S.C T8 7F, 8F Kyoto Takashimaya 🎮 Business hours: Every day 10:00-20:00 🎮 Features: Various Nintendo goods that both children and adults love / Rooftop photo zone / High price range Kyoto Nintendo is located on the 7th floor of Takashimaya Department Store. I came to the right place because I saw a Mario sculpture at the entrance of the department store. A photo zone that I couldn't miss! It was so satisfying to see my 12-year-old brother imitating Mario's pose. 🏬 7F Nintendo Shop After taking a picture with Mario on the 1st floor and taking the elevator up to the 7th floor, you'll be surrounded by Nintendo's signature red color. It feels like walking on a red carpet. The ceiling is also designed in red, and Nintendo goods are displayed inside. The goods are reflected and can be seen from the floor, so you don't have to look up. People wearing skirts, be careful! There's also a photo wall. It really feels like you're walking on a red carpet and attending an awards ceremony. It's also a great photo zone! There are pajamas from Animal Crossing, Mario Kart Legos, and so many Nintendo goods, but my child bought an amibo Legend of Zelda character. I was curious about what this was, but it's a figure that's linked to a game. There's an NFC tag on the floor, and when you recognize it with a Nintendo console, you get a special item. In addition to the Zelda amibo figure, we bought a Legend of Zelda notebook, pen, and masking tape, and then played a round of Donkey Kong at Nintendo Kyoto. The staff who ran the game was very friendly. It was all in Japanese, so I couldn't understand it properly, but there was no problem playing the game. 🏬 8F Nintendo Photo Zone After shopping on the 7th floor of Kyoto Nintendo, be sure to stop by the photo zone on the 8th floor rooftop. When you go up the escalator, you will see the Mario photo zone that you saw in the game. It is really pretty in the photos. On a nice day, the vivid colors are even more beautiful. 🏬 4F Mandarake There is a Tsutaya Bookstore (KYOTO TSUTAYA BOOKS) on the 5th and 6th floors of Takashimaya Department Store. On the 4th floor, there is a place called Mandarake that sells Japanese retro animation related comics, toys, and figures. It is unique that there is a red torii sculpture like the Fushimi Inari Fox Shrine here. Since I was traveling with children, I excluded the Fox Shrine from the plan, but unexpectedly, I came across a red torii at the retro comic shop on the 4th floor of Takashimaya Department Store.
