DoubleTree by Hilton Kyoto Higashiyama: My Perfect Kyoto Stay! 🌸🏨

#summervacay The DoubleTree by Hilton Kyoto Higashiyama completely exceeded all my expectations for a Kyoto hotel! What I Loved: Japanese Style: It perfectly blends modern comfort with a subtle Japanese aesthetic. Brand New & Spacious: As a new hotel (opened in 2023), it felt incredibly clean. I booked a Twin Premium room at 33 square meters, which honestly felt like it could comfortably sleep three people. The sofa was also exceptionally comfortable! Convenient Location: It's super close to the Keihan train station, making transportation easy. While it's a bit of a distance from the major shopping centers by public transport (I'd recommend a taxi if you have lots of bags), it's a fantastic base for sightseeing. We walked to Kiyomizu-dera Temple in about 15 minutes. We tackled the uphill walk there around 7 AM to beat the crowds, which was a leg-burner! On the way back, we took a leisurely stroll down through Ninen-zaka and Sannen-zaka, perfectly avoiding the throngs of people. Comfort & Amenities: The bedding was incredibly comfortable – a pleasant surprise! The wireless iron in the room was really handy, and I loved that I could get sparkling water and ice from the first floor.
