London, The Most Iconic City In The World! My Top tips After 6 years Living There 😍

London is without a doubt one of the most iconic cities in the world and having lived there for 6 years I have some favorite places I would highly recommend. I love that London is all about it’s contrasts, it has history and culture yet it’s rapidly developed and modernized - it’s also a huge metropolis that can still feel local in places. And with so much development ongoing, there is always something new! My favourite places for food and drink are the southbank, borough market and shoreditch - here you find more independent restaurants and street food. They also offer the best range of vegan, vegetarian and halal options - there is also a bigger percentage of freshly prepared food here so if you’re on a health kick these places rock! For shopping it’s all about convent garden, shoredtich and notting hill for me - they might sound expensive but they have a surprising amount of vintage and charity stores along with local independent stores that are surprisingly reasonable. The vintage markets in the basement of the truman brewery in shoreditch are my absolute favorites! For sights, scents and scenes there are some amazing places that are a little more off the map such as Little Venice for canals and coffee, Greenwich for pubs and Sunday markets along with The City Of London for history and architecture. And of course you can’t do London without doing the iconic public transport, so get an oyster card and get tapping! The tube can be quite pricey and busy compared to other European cities, so I advise taking advantage of buses. The hopper fare is around $2 and you can jump from bus to bus for free within an hour, so maximize your journeys!
