Trip to Mae Kampong

📍Overview of the trip 🚩Travel methods and routes - We traveled without a private car. We took a van from Kad Dok Mai market, round trip for 350 THB per person. The van service was excellent! We booked in advance via their Facebook page: Mae Kampong Hot Spring Van Service (highly recommended) 💖. The route has quite a few curves, so if you get carsick, you might want to take medication beforehand. The journey takes less than 2 hours, and the van is very punctual. 📷Photo spots - You can take photos everywhere! Although it might be a bit crowded, there are plenty of photo spots to choose from. The van driver even pointed out must-visit spots for us. 🍜Recommended food - Grilled pork/Hot pot: The price might be slightly high, but it's worth it. The portions are very generous. The steamed fish custard from the shop opposite the grilled pork place is amazing. The food is incredibly delicious! 🏠Recommended accommodation - We stayed at Baan Ing Doi Mae Kampong, located on the way up to the café, waterfall, and Kew Fin viewpoint. It's a bit far from the drop-off point, so we recommend taking a local ride up. The accommodation is very comfortable, quiet, and you can hear the sound of the waterfall. The breakfast is excellent, especially the rice porridge. There are various room options to choose from. 💡Things to note - Some food items might be pricey, but if you're not too concerned, it's quite chill. During the day, there might be a lot of vehicles, so be cautious of traffic.
