Day 3-1 Langmusi Temple, Source of Bailong River, First Bridge of the Yellow River

On the third day, we continued exploring the hidden gems of Gannan. As dawn broke, my altitude sickness seemed to fade. After drinking half a can of Red Bull, my energy returned. **Maqu Langmusi Temple** The temple enshrines the living Buddha's true body. Maintain silence and respect the beliefs—even without understanding Tibetan Buddhism, you can feel its solemn atmosphere. After leaving the temple, we hiked along the Bailong River for about 100 meters. At the end, two magical springs mark the true source of the river! Further up, there's a 2-kilometer hiking trail with breathtaking views, though we didn’t continue. Note: Remove shoes before entering the prayer hall, no photography allowed, and always spin prayer wheels clockwise. Not far from Langmusi Town lies the **First Bridge of the Yellow River**. The river isn’t very wide here, and the bridge is modest. Located in Maqu County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province, this area sits at the junction of Qinghai, Gansu, and Sichuan. The Yellow River forms an almost 180-degree bend here—similar to the First Bend in Tangke. Nearby, a lush pasture thrives. While the river flows quietly, massive black yaks gallop freely under the sun, their coats gleaming—proof of the fertile grasslands. We then continued our journey to Awancang Wetland.
