Travel Review: A Journey Back in Time to Pompeii

From there, it was just a short walk to the main entrance of the ancient city. ⸻ 🏛 Exploring Pompeii The moment we stepped into the ancient city, it felt like walking onto the set of a Roman movie. The old stone streets, well-preserved houses, and faded yet colorful frescoes were awe-inspiring and hard to put into words. Highlights not to be missed: • Forum – The central square of the ancient Roman community. • Outdoor Theater – Still functional and occasionally hosts performances. • House of the Faun – Famous for its mosaic of "Alexander the Great." • Statues of Pompeii residents turned to stone – Both heartbreaking and fascinating, showcasing their final moments as they tried to escape the volcanic ash. ⸻ 🍽 Refreshment Break Near the exit, there are small cafes where you can enjoy coffee or snacks.
