Netherlands' Wind and Water: A Stroll Through the Kinderdijk World Heritage Site

Recently, my family and I visited the famous UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Netherlands—Kinderdijk. This area is home to one of the most iconic windmill clusters in the country, with nineteen traditional windmills neatly lined along the canal, creating a fairytale-like atmosphere. On a sunny day, we strolled leisurely along the dike path, admiring the rotating windmills and capturing memorable photos. We also explored the interior of an open windmill, learning about how past residents lived and utilized drainage and flood control techniques. The children were fascinated by the mechanics of the windmills, while the adults were deeply moved by the serene and majestic scenery. This trip to Kinderdijk was filled with natural beauty and historical wisdom, leaving our family with unforgettable memories.
