#AbsolutelyFreeTrip Wat Saladaeng (Wat Sala Daeng) is a historic Buddhist temple located in Pak Priao, Muang District, Saraburi Province. It was originally called "Wat Kaeng Muang (Temple of Mangu Island)" and its current name comes from the red tiled resting place (sala). The site is about 5 rai (about 8,000 square meters), and the concrete main hall was completed in 2518, and the Phra Chinnaracha Buddha is enshrined in the pagoda. The wooden lecture hall built in 2464 also remains, giving it a sense of history. Of particular note is the "Phra Nirokantarai Chaiwat Chuttarong (Four-sided City Buddha)", which was built in 2511 as the guardian Buddha of the east. About 20 monks practice at the temple, and Buddhist education (Dhamma, Bali lectures) and community activities are actively carried out. New Year's Eve prayers and other local events have also become established.
