Summer vacation in Nan'ao Island! A day living by the sea

OMG, you guys!! On my first night in Nan'ao Island, this homestay totally won me over—the moment I opened the door, the ocean view hit me right in the face! Lying in bed, I could watch the waves rolling, and even the air tasted salty-sweet like the sea~ As a beach lover, I officially declare: this is the most "healing" homestay I've ever stayed at in Nan'ao Island! 🏡 Perfect location! Steps from the sea + free parking The homestay is located at "Building B, Wanlvyuan, Haibin Road, Houzhai Town," right on the must-pass island loop road! There's a parking lot downstairs with plenty of spaces (even more during the off-season, and the host even gives parking vouchers~). Road trip lovers will rejoice: pick up a car at Shantou High-Speed Rail Station, and you'll reach the island in just 1.5 hours. The scenic island loop road is so beautiful it makes you want to sing🎶~ 🌟 The room is breathtaking! Ocean view + smart features galore I stayed in a Mediterranean-style king room (there's also a Japanese-style option!). The moment I walked in, I was stunned—🌊 floor-to-ceiling windows framed the ocean like a painting! The white-themed decor with oval windows gave every photo a "movie filter" vibe, making even casual poses look like an Instagram influencer~ Perfectionists will be blown away by the details: ✅ Smart home system! Voice-controlled lights/AC, a lazy person's dream~ ✅ Separate wet/dry bathroom + a huge bathtub! Soaking while watching the ocean, my partner said I looked like a sunbathing cat🐈~ ✅ Giant projector! Didn’t want to go out at night? Just curled up on the couch with takeout and a movie—pure bliss~ ✅ Open kitchen! Bought seafood from the mountaintop market and cooked a "seafood feast" so fresh it made my taste buds dance😆 Special shoutout to the service! The owner was super friendly, not only sharing detailed travel tips but even helping carry luggage downstairs~ They even marked the best times to potentially see bioluminescent algae (blue tears). With this level of thoughtfulness, I crown it the "best homestay in Nan'ao Island"! 🌴 So much to do nearby! Holding hands with your partner, even the wind feels sweet💌) → Qing'ao Bay (the "Oriental Hawaii" with fine sand and clear water—don’t miss the Tropic of Cancer landmark) ▪️ Day 3: Huanghuashan National Forest Park (perfect pit stop during your island drive, offering panoramic views of Nan'ao Bridge! Hikers, this one’s for you~) ▪️ Day 4: Charter a fishing boat in the fishing village🎣 (get your fresh catch cooked at a local seafood stall—so delicious you’ll lick your fingers!) 💡 Pro tips: ▪️ Off-season visits are a steal! Plenty of parking, fewer crowds, and you can even haggle with the owner (tested and approved😂) ▪️ Rent a car in advance! Super convenient to rent after arriving at Shantou by high-speed rail, giving you full freedom to explore the island~ ▪️ Want to see blue tears? Hang out on the terrace after 8 PM—your chances are high! (We actually saw them during our stay!!) Lock this place in with your BFF or partner!
