#OsakaTravel 🦌 Nara 1 Day Trip – Let’s go see deer. It’s just this close from Osaka! For those who come to Osaka and have a free day, and want to feel nature, peace, but still have the cuteness of true Japan… I would like to recommend a light trip to Nara, a small and lovely city full of deer. Walk in the park, visit the temple, and feel great! 🚆🍃 ⸻ 🚃 How to get there? It’s very easy! • Take the JR train from Osaka Station → Nara Station (take the JR Yamatoji Line for about 45 minutes) • Or if you are staying near Namba, take the Kintetsu Railway to Kintetsu-Nara Station. It’s closer to the park. ⸻ 🏞️ Nara Park – The Kingdom of Little Deer • When you exit the station, it’s not far to Nara Park. • There are deer roaming around the park! They’re not in cages. Walk freely • You can buy deer snacks (Shika Senbei) for them to eat (~200 yen) • Some of them will bow before eating, so cute! But some of them are so hungry that they're naughty, so be careful 😆 ⸻ 🛕 Todai-ji Temple • The highlight of the Nara trip! It's an old temple with a giant Great Buddha statue. • The wooden temple is one of the largest wooden buildings in the world. • The interior is peaceful, beautiful, and has a full ancient Japanese feel. • The entrance fee is 600 yen, but it's worth it. ⸻ 🍵 Where should I stop for a bite? • There are many cafes and dessert shops around Nara Park. • I recommend trying Kusa mochi, made from green and fragrant yomogi. • Or sit in a traditional tea shop and enjoy matcha while watching the garden. ⸻ ⛩️ Kasuga Taisha Shrine • Walk a bit deeper into the forest You will find a bright red shrine. • There are hundreds of stone lanterns and hanging lanterns, beautiful and sacred. • The atmosphere is quiet, walking is like entering an ancient world. ⸻ 📸 Great photo spots • Deer with a natural scene • Great Buddha shrine + photos inside • Shrine walkway with rows of lanterns • Changing leaves (if you come during the fall season, it's the best 🍁) ⸻ ✅ Summary of friends inviting you to travel • Travel from Osaka for only 1 hour, but you will feel like you are in another city. • Get close to nature, meet cute deer without having to go to the zoo. • Ancient temples, sacred shrines, beautiful photos • Walk all day, enjoy yourself without realizing it. • Suitable for both religious people, nature lovers, and photography lovers.
