New Taipei City Food: Long'an Lamb Noodle Soup and Oyster Omelette

Not sure what to eat for lunch? The boss recommended his favorite lamb noodle soup, saying the chili sauce is really tasty! But is it the noodles or the chili sauce that's good? 😓 The boss mentioned that their signature dishes are lamb noodle soup, oyster omelette, and rice cake, but unfortunately, the rice cake is no longer available! So I opted for braised pork rice instead. The fatty pork was noticeable but not greasy, and the flavor was quite decent. The star dish, lamb noodle soup, had a light starchy broth with a satay-flavored soup base that was pretty good. Pairing it with the spicy chili sauce made it even better 🥰 The oyster omelette, however, was a bit disappointing. When it arrived, the batter didn't look well-cooked—it was pale. Upon tasting, the batter was indeed too thick. After peeling off the batter and eating the filling, I even bit into a large piece of shell 🥲 Looks like I'll stick to lamb noodle soup and braised pork rice in the future 😑 The shop is small but clean.
