Sandiaojiao Lighthouse

Introduction to Sandiaojiao Lighthouse: Completed in 1935, Sandiaojiao Lighthouse is located in Sandiaojiao, Gongliao District, New Taipei City. It marks the easternmost point of Taiwan's main island and serves as an important navigational guide for many ships passing through the Pacific Ocean. Inside the lighthouse, there is an exhibition room showcasing historical materials and precious photographs of Taiwan's lighthouses. Due to its remote location, driving yourself is the most convenient way to visit. On the day of my visit, I opted to call a car from Fulong Station, which cost around 280 NTD. Besides touring the lighthouse, you can walk to a higher vantage point to view Taiwan's easternmost location. Afterward, I walked downhill for about 25 minutes to explore Magang Fishing Village and enjoy lunch. Finally, I took a bus to leave the area.
