Osaka has a main airport, Kansai International Airport, which is very convenient. There are trains that go directly into the city, and there are also many bus lines to choose from. In addition, we recommend buying an ICOCA card, which is a prepaid card similar to the MRT card in Thailand. You can use it to take trains, buses, or even buy things at convenience stores. It's super convenient. We also downloaded the Google Maps app and HyperDia (a train schedule app in Japan) to plan our trip so that we don't get lost. ⸻ Day 1: Arrived in Osaka! Heading to the Dotonbori area After landing at Kansai Airport, we took the JR Kansai Airport Rapid Service to Namba Station, which is a hip area of ​​Osaka. It took only about 40 minutes. As soon as we got out of the station, we were greeted by the lively atmosphere of Dotonbori, surrounded by colorful neon lights. The famous Glico Man sign, the symbol of Osaka, greeted us in the middle of this area with a smile. We leisurely walked past many restaurants, both takoyaki and okonomiyaki restaurants, which were smoky and had mouthwatering aromas. If you like rich Japanese food, you must try it. ⸻ Day 2: Osaka Castle and Sakura Park Waking up to the warm sunshine, we headed straight to Osaka Castle, a beautiful and elegant symbol of the city. The white castle with its golden roof reflects the sunlight beautifully. We walked around the surrounding gardens, which were full of cherry blossoms. The atmosphere was like being in a painting. We went up to the top floor of the castle to see a 360-degree view of the entire city of Osaka. We saw tall buildings and a river flowing by. I must say that it was so cool. You can walk around here all day long. It's so much fun. And don't forget to stop by the souvenir shop in the castle. There are many cute Japanese accessories and local sweets. ⸻ Day 3: Have a blast at Universal Studios Japan Today, we changed the atmosphere to the most popular theme park in Osaka, Universal Studios Japan (USJ)! The atmosphere here is fun and lively. There are many rides to choose from, especially the Harry Potter zone, which is made to feel like you've really entered a magical world. We tried the "Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey" ride, which was both thrilling and exciting. In addition, there are the Minion, Jurassic Park, and Spider-Man zones that are just as fun to play. Don't forget to stop by the amusement park for some sweets and drinks, which have tofu ice cream and sweets themed around cute characters that you'll want to take a picture of every piece. ⸻ Day Four: Nara, the City of Adorable Deer and Ancient Temples Today we went to Nara, a small city near Osaka that is famous for the deer that roam free throughout the city. We bought some small sembei snacks to feed the deer. The deer were so cute and tame that they kept running towards us the whole way, making us laugh nonstop. Then we visited Todai-ji Temple, which has a giant Daibutsu Buddha statue, and is another highlight of Nara. It is very peaceful and beautiful here. We got to see ancient Japanese art and architecture, and also walked around a beautiful garden. ⸻ Day Five: Shopping and Cute Cafes in Shinsaibashi Before heading back, we went shopping in Shinsaibashi, a popular fashion and shopping district.
