Osaka Japan Travel Review: A colorful city where you can eat to your heart's content and forget the time 🍡✨ Hello~ Today, I'm going to tell you about Boom's cute Osaka trip. Let me tell you that Osaka is sooo cute!!! It's a city with high mobility, full of delicious food and lots of fun. If you're planning a trip to Japan, Boom thinks that this is a place you can't miss. Let's go check it out! ⸻ Day 1: Arrive in Osaka — Excited about Dotonbori, pin the best food 🍢🎉 After flying to Kansai Airport, I was a little tired, but my heart was beating fast because this is the starting point of my adventure in Japan. We took the JR train from the airport to Osaka City, which took about 40 minutes. It was very convenient and fast. As soon as we arrived at the hotel, we quickly changed clothes and headed to Dotonbori, a place with restaurants and neon lights that everyone must visit! The atmosphere here is like another world. It's brightly colored, with famous signs like the giant crab and the Ginza-kun sign that make your heart beat fast. Our favorite food is “Takoyaki”, round fried squid balls that are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, topped with sweet sauce, seaweed and dried fish flakes. You can’t stop eating them. In addition, there is also Okonomiyaki, a Japanese pancake that is freshly made. It smells so good! The taste is also very well-rounded. Everyone who comes here must try it! Walking around this area is so awesome. You can take pictures with the romantic Japanese night lights without any filters. ⸻ Day 2: Retro samurai at Osaka Castle and beautiful gardens 🍃🏯 The next morning, we woke up early and rushed to Osaka Castle, an important symbol of the beautiful city full of history. The large, clean white castle stands out among the green trees. It is so elegant and fascinating. We walked up to the top floor to see the view of Osaka City in 360 degrees. We saw tall buildings and the river flowing through the city. It felt like being in a retro movie but also modern at the same time. Importantly, there is a large garden around the castle for walking, taking pictures and relaxing. The beautifully planted flower gardens and trees make us feel calm and refreshed. It is very suitable for nature lovers. ⸻ Day 3: Have fun at Universal Studios Japan (USJ) 🎢🎠 If you are a fun-loving person and love theme parks, Boom would like to say that Universal Studios Japan is a place you definitely can't miss! We spent a whole day here, playing exciting rides, taking pictures with our favorite characters, and walking around the theme zones of famous movies such as Harry Potter, Minions, Jurassic Park, and many more. The Harry Potter zone is like being transported to a real magical world. We drank a sweet and mellow Butterbeer. We felt so good walking around the Hogsmeade village that was exactly as it was. In addition, Super Nintendo World was very fun. It was very colorful and the characters were cute. It was so much fun that we didn't want to leave. It is recommended to buy an Express Pass to avoid long queues for rides so you can play all the rides and have the most fun. ⸻ Day 4: Enjoy shopping at Shinsaibashi and cute cafes 🍵🛍️ After a fun day at USJ, we chilled out at Shinsaibashi Shopping Arcade, a long shopping street filled with many shops. We walked around and bought cute souvenirs, from Japanese stationery, bags, scarves, and local snacks. While shopping, we stopped for a matcha latte at a truly Japanese cafe. The green tea was strong, not too sweet, and had a well-rounded flavor, making us feel very refreshed after walking around all day. The atmosphere here is full of Japanese style, combining modernity and classicism perfectly. If you are looking for cute souvenirs or like a relaxing atmosphere, this is the place for you! ⸻ Day 5: Explore Kuromon Market, a fresh market with the freshest seafood 🦀🍣 On our last day before heading back, we didn't miss out on walking around Kuromon Ichiba Market, a famous fresh market in Osaka. Here, there are many kinds of fresh seafood, such as giant crabs, large scallops, and fresh sashimi that are so delicious that they almost melt in your mouth. Walking around and eating in the market, enjoying the chatter of vendors and the smell of fresh seafood makes you extremely hungry. We ate a variety of snacks, such as freshly fried takoyaki, fresh oysters, and small pieces of sushi that were cute and delicious. The atmosphere here is like experiencing the lifestyle of real Japanese people, and this kind of fresh market makes you feel very fun and warm. ⸻ Little tips for a great trip to Osaka 💡 • Prepare comfortable shoes because there will be a lot of walking. • Buy the Osaka Amazing Pass to save a lot on transportation and entrance fees. • If you are going to Universal Studios Japan, I recommend buying the Express Pass to avoid the queue. • Download the Google Maps app and the Japanese translation app to make your travel more convenient. • Don't forget to try the authentic takoyaki, okonomiyaki, and matcha green tea! ⸻ Summary of my impressions 🥰 Osaka is a city full of color, fun, and delicious food.
