Ibis Budget Osaka Umeda: The ultimate budget hotel in Osaka

Located near Nakazakicho Station, Ibis Budget Osaka Umeda is about a 10-minute walk from Umeda Station. Upon arriving at 2 PM, I left my luggage and went out for my itinerary, returning at 6 PM for check-in. The hotel has 15 floors, and I was assigned a room on the 14th floor—lucky! The view from the room faces Kitahama and Umeda Station. With no tall buildings obstructing the view, it was surprisingly better than expected. The red HEP Five Ferris Wheel stands out beautifully on the right side. I stayed in a Standard Twin Room, which is about 16–17 square meters in size. The room condition is average for a business hotel. Compared to Ibis Styles hotels I’ve stayed at in Kyoto, Sapporo, and Nagoya, this budget version seems to be a grade lower. Being assigned to a high floor made it a "view hotspot," and I was very satisfied. Just a 5-minute walk away, the area is filled with bars and nightlife spots, bustling until late at night. There’s also a Life supermarket open until midnight, just a minute away. Conveniently, there’s a Lawson convenience store next to the hotel, making the stay even more comfortable. After a good night’s sleep, I woke up early to enjoy breakfast, which starts at 6:30 AM. I hadn’t noticed the breakfast offerings the day before. While the breakfast isn’t extravagant, the freshly fried kushikatsu selection is impressive. The takoyaki and beef curry are also delightful. Though the variety isn’t extensive, the breakfast is delicious. With a group arriving, I checked out about 15 minutes early. Nakazakicho Station is just a 3-minute walk away, making transportation convenient. The overall itinerary turned out to be smoother than I initially thought, and Umeda is easily accessible on foot.
