[Osaka] Namba Shrine

It was later moved to Uehonmachi, Tennoji Ward, and moved to its current location in 1583 after Toyotomi Hideyoshi built Osaka Castle. In 1945, it was completely burned down during the Osaka air raids of World War II, and was rebuilt in a temporary shrine in July 1974, where it remains to this day. During the Edo period, with the rise of Inari faith, the Inari Shrine, a branch shrine on the grounds, commonly known as "Bakuromachi no Oinari-san", was more famous than the main shrine. The sacred camphor tree (about 400 years old) designated as a preserved tree by the city of Osaka stands out. At the summer festival "Himuro Festival" held every year on July 20th and 21st, ice is distributed to worshippers, and it is said that if you eat this ice, you will not be defeated by the summer.
