🍚 Local food, "Grandpa's" cooking style at Grandpa's Garden, Phang Nga

Baan Suan Kong is a small homestay located in Thai Mueang District, Phang Nga Province. The house is made of wood and has a high foundation, allowing for a cool breeze. The house is surrounded by fruit orchards, including durian, mangosteen, and longan, and there is also a self-sufficient vegetable garden. 🥬 There is no noise from cars or air conditioning, but there are birds chirping, mosquitoes, and the smell of the soil after rain—real nature! Another highlight of the food here is “Kong,” the kind-hearted owner of the house. He is a former gardener who can cook delicious local food. The signature dishes are “mackerel chili paste and boiled vegetables” and “turmeric boiled domestic chicken,” which are spicy and fragrant with authentic southern herbs. Eat them with hot rice and you’ll be hooked! 🐓🔥 What I really like is the “sincerity” of the restaurant. They don’t overdo it and provide very friendly service.
