📅 Itinerary Day1：Interislander ferry from Wellington reached Picton. I’m was almost 9:30pm when I collected my luggage and the sleepy town was deserted. Head to my lodging , bathed and crashed. Day2: Had free breakfast provided by the hotel and headed for hike from Picton to Waikawa via a walking track. The track will reached Queen Charlotte track too so don’t pay for tour fee as they are still self guided tour.#solotrip #localfood #naturalwonders Its wet and muddy as if was raining the past feel days and you don’t have that many hiker during winter. It rough my 3.5hours walking. At around 3:30pm , I’m back to the city centre for my brunch. Took a a simple pizza with the local green lip mussels for cost me a bomb. Glad the water is free. Wonder how the local survive w the expensive per meal. Head back to the hotel as it began to rain and my shoe and socks were soiled and wet. I need a warm and hot shower. Day3: Checking out of the Motel and took the free breakfast provided. Waited for the scheduled Intercity bus at 1.45pm to bring me to Kaikouka 🏨 Accommodation 🍴 Food Recommendations Fish & Chips NZD38.8 - (beer battered fish, fries, salad, tartare sauce) and Local Mussels NZD21.5 (a dozen Marlborough Mussels, lime, coconut cream, toasted bread) 📌 Tips Bring a brolly as intermittent heavy rain during winter and an insulated mug that keep water hot if not warm.
