Holiday Inn Riyadh Al Malaz: A Reliable Choice for Business Travelers

During my business trip to Riyadh, I chose to stay at the Holiday Inn Riyadh Al Malaz. Overall, the experience was satisfying, with facilities, services, and room details reflecting the standards expected of an international brand. Here’s a detailed review of my stay. The hotel facilities are well-maintained, featuring a swimming pool and a gym. Whether you want to stretch your muscles during a break or maintain your daily workout routine, you’ll find ways to relax. The air conditioning in the room operates quietly, ensuring a good night’s sleep. However, the air vent is positioned directly towards the bed, which might cause discomfort over time. Adjusting the airflow direction is recommended. The automatic curtains provide excellent blackout coverage, and the multiple sensor light control switches near the bed allow you to manage the room’s lighting conveniently. The attention to detail in the design is commendable. The soundproofing is also impressive; my room on the 7th floor was completely insulated from the noise of traffic outside, which is a big plus for light sleepers. The bathroom is spacious and clean, with a separate wet and dry area. However, the drainage design in the shower area has a minor flaw, as water tends to seep through the gaps in the partition onto the bathroom floor. This is a slight drawback. The room offers three power outlets, which are sufficient for typical business needs. The service was another highlight. The front desk staff were friendly and responsive, and the bellboy proactively helped with luggage and delivered it to the room, showcasing the unique warmth and hospitality of the Middle East. In terms of location, the surrounding area isn’t a hub for restaurants, with only fast-food options like KFC within walking distance. However, since we primarily used Uber for transportation, this wasn’t a major issue. The breakfast was a delightful surprise—extremely abundant! In addition to the usual Middle Eastern hot dishes, salads, and bread, there was a variety of fresh fruits, including cantaloupe that was exceptionally sweet, rivaling even the famous Hokkaido variety. There were also freshly prepared egg dishes like scrambled eggs, omelets, and fried eggs to choose from, paired with juice and hot coffee for a perfect start to the day. In summary, Holiday Inn Riyadh Al Malaz is a comfortable and convenient mid-to-high-end hotel, ideal for business travelers or tourists. While there are some areas for improvement, the overall performance aligns well with its brand positioning. I would consider staying here again on my next visit to Riyadh.
