A magnificent Roman landmark: the Altar of the Fatherland

📍Altar of the Fatherland: Piazza Venezia, 00186 Roma RM, Italy ✔️ It is said to have been built to commemorate the hero who unified Italy, Emanuele II. The altar has fires burning on both sides that are said to not go out easily. ​✔️ If you take the elevator up, you can see the whole view of Rome. The entrances were both above and behind the photo. My friend who lives in Rome and went with me said that he has never tried that entrance, but he said that you can go up this way and buy a ticket to go up to the observation deck. ​✔️ Admission is free, but you have to buy a separate ticket to take the elevator up to the observation deck. #EuropeTravel #AltarOfTheFatherland #RomeTravel
