A Roman Journey of Emotions – Wishes at the Trevi Fountain, Majesty of the Colosseum, and Serenity of the Temple of Vesta

Rome, Italy, is not just a city; it feels like stepping into the flow of history the moment you set foot there. Among the highlights of my European trip, the most memorable moments were at the Trevi Fountain, the Colosseum, and the Temple of Vesta. The Trevi Fountain is the perfect place to experience the essence of Rome. I visited early in the morning, when there were fewer tourists, making the atmosphere even more enchanting. The mist carried by the breeze and the gentle sound of water cascading between marble sculptures felt like it was cleansing my soul. Tossing a coin into the fountain felt like sending a wish that would return as a deep affection for Rome. Arriving at the Colosseum, I was overwhelmed by its sheer size and grandeur. Walking up the stairs and examining each archway, I felt as though I was traveling back 2,000 years in time. Standing on the sandy floor where gladiators once tread, I could sense both the splendor and brutality of the Roman Empire. The Temple of Vesta, though quieter, left an even deeper impression on me. Nestled among the ruins of the Roman Forum, this circular temple was where priestesses guarded the sacred flame. It was the perfect spot to escape the crowds, sit for a while, and imagine the stillness of ancient times while feeling the Roman breeze. Rome is a city that offers profound emotions rather than mere spectacle. It’s not just a place to see but a destination that stays in your heart.
